Always wanted learn to play the piano but struggle to find the time for lessons?
Been watching free YouTube videos but keep getting stuck without any guidance?
Have you been trying to learn piano but haven't progressed as far as you'd hoped?
I understand how you feel! I studied piano traditionally for years but still struggled to learn my favourite songs and play freely on the piano without hours and hours of sight reading practice. When I finally found out the tips and tricks of the trade that the professionals use, it blew my mind, I couldn’t believe how easy it was with a few simple formulas and basic understanding of chords and scales.
So I created ‘My Piano Method’, so you don’t have to spend years figuring it out like I did. I can teach you what you need to know in just 10 lessons and you are going to love it. I created a clear and simple method, using step by step lessons, with light up keyboards and clear presentations and every single lesson is backed up by daily exercises.
The best part is I teach you both techniques, sight reading in one course and improvisation in the other, so you get the best of both worlds and you’ll never be left in the lurch because you have access to me every day, just email me your questions or ask in the private Facebook group.
If you want to play quickly and in a way that makes sense with minimal commitment, then join me inside My Piano Method today for less that the cost of a single piano lesson.
I've just completed Michelle's Chord Jammer course following the ebook and I am super excited to sit behind the piano now. I've learned all about chord progressions and melody and how chords work with each other and how to create your own music. I loved how the ebook was laid out and it's even better following along to Michelle's video course where she goes through it page by page. I had a lot of 'A-Ha' moments throughout it and I'm super excited to crack on with everything I've learned. Thanks so much Michelle, it's really awesome, I loved it, it's exactly what I've been looking for.

It's been over 20 years since my last piano lesson but I'm already reading sheet music after just a few lessons! The course is simple to follow and delivered in a way that helped me build memory and learn to play the piano much better! I particularly like Michelle's encouragement and tips to find your own creativity and making music of your own - I can feel my inner Beethoven rising and I've only just started.

I decided to learn the piano at the ripe old age of 66. I thought it would be a long, hard, slog but I was surprised to be playing after my very first lesson and by the end of the first 5 lessons I was reading sheet music. I have thoroughly enjoyed taking Michelle's lessons, they are clear, informative and a lot of fun. I can now play the beginning of 'Fur Elise' and I just learned how to create my own songs with chords. Give this course a go, you won't regret it.

I learned the basics of piano when I was a kid and have always wanted to improve my skills and understand scales and chords better so that I can learn songs more easily and feel confident playing in front of people. This course is amazing! Michelle's teaching style is so clear and easy to follow and I have improved my playing so much since doing the Beginner to Grade course!
Q: I have never played the piano before, is your course right for me?
Yes I have designed the course specifically for beginners, everything is explained and I cover all the fundamentals. I have developed a learning technique that incorporates what we have learned in previous lessons as we move forward, this will help you remember everything and be able to apply it to your playing.
Q: I can already play a bit of piano, so is this course worth it for me?
Yes, if you have some experience playing the piano you can skip the initial lessons until you get to the part you don’t know or are unsure of. Most people either learn how to read sheet music and play classically or they learn how to use chords and scales to improvise and play jazz and blues. I have a course for both, so if you can already read music why not try out my Chord Jammer course which teaches you how to improvise and play pop songs. If you know how to play pop songs but can’t read music, you can take my ‘Beginner to Grade' Course which teaches you to sight read and play at a graded level.
Q: How long are the courses?
The courses vary in length. Chord Jammer is the quickest, it has 15 main videos varying from 2 minutes to 24 minutes and each of those videos has 2-5 short exercise videos to accompany it. The Beginner to Grade courses have 10 lessons each and each lesson has 4-5 videos varying from 2 minutes to 15 minutes. Each lessons comes with 5 short exercise videos you can follow.
Q: How long will it take me to be able to play?
In my ‘Beginner to Grade’ course you will start playing songs from the very first lesson, we learn a song with each lesson and they get harder as you go along. In the Basics course you will learn to play 9 songs in total using both hands, in the advanced course you will learn 6 songs in total and you create some improvisation pieces as well. In the Chord Jammer Course you will start playing chord progressions in Section 9. The first 8 sections are the fundamentals you will need and each of these sections comes with practice exercises. By section 15 you will be able to improvise at the piano, write your own chord progressions with melody and look up and play the chords to your favourite songs.
Q: Will I be playing the piano with both hands by the end of your courses?
Yes you will be playing with both hands at the end of any of the courses you pick. This is a fundamental skill when you learn to play piano.
Q: How long does it take to finish the courses?
It depends on how you want to approach your learning and how often you watch the videos. I recommend being consistent and suggest a weekly lesson plan for the ‘Beginner to Grade’ courses which consist of 10 lessons each, so you would finish each course in 10 weeks. This gives you time to practice your scales and songs from each lesson to make sure you have them going well before you move on to the next lesson, which also helps you retain the skills. You could however watch a lesson a day and finish it in 10 days if you wanted to go for an intensive method! in either case, stay consistent, don't watch one lesson and then wait a month to do the next one.
Chord Jammer is a shorter course and if you watch a lesson a day you can finish this in 2-3 weeks. Most students tend to work on the course 2-3 times a week, which means it would take approximately 5-6 weeks for you to complete.
Q: How often do I need to practice for the subscription to be worth it?
With any course you take, whether it is musical or not, the more you put into it the more you get out of it. It is well known that little and often is definitely the most effective way to learn to play piano. So 2 minutes a day is far better than 1 hour a week. With all of my courses you get a practice plan which helps you pick what to practice as well. I always suggest doing a quick scale a day and then something fun like some song practice. But you do not have to practice everyday for the course to be worth it. Each lesson is packed full of great information and guidance.
Q: How many hours a week should I be playing?
Little and often is the key when it comes to learning a new instrument. Aiming for 5 minutes a day means you get the most value from your membership. If you don’t want to play everyday then I would aim at 3 times a week as a good rule of thumb. You do not have to practice for long, just a few minutes is enough and you can use your practice plan to help you decide what to practice.
Q: What if I buy the subscription but then don’t like the courses?
You can cancel the subscription at any time, there is no minimum requirement.
Q: Are there any other hidden costs?
No the subscription cost includes all of the MPM courses, PDF’s and community access as well as email support from me. The only added extra that you can buy is the MPM Chord Chart, which is a handy resource to help you find chords.
Q: How does the practice plan work and do I have to use it?
When you start a course in the subscription, the first lesson will include a PDF practice plan download. This PDF will have active links to all the exercise videos for each lesson, you choose what you want to work on and hit the link, as long as you are logged into the ’Teachable Platform’ the exercise video will open from the link.
Q: How do I get instructor feedback?
You can email Michelle at any time at hello@mypianomethod.com and she will get back to you within 24 hours. If you don't want to wait that long, she also keeps a daily eye on the MPM Private Facebook Group so you can ask any questions in there.
Q: How do I get the 70-page eBook that comes with the subscription?
The 70-page eBook is for the Chord Jammer course within the subscription, and you will see a link to the download in the first lesson. You will also receive it via a link in your welcome email. The Chord Jammer course works through the eBook page by page.
